Remember in Big Daddy when Julian pleads to Adam Sandler's character: "I wipe my own ass! I wipe my own ass!" Read the title of this blog post thusly.

Today was the day I cut my own hair. I had big plans, and 100 different ways to do it (okay, more like three--try to do it myself, get Tyson to do it, get my mom to do it).  Then, I remembered what my yoga instructor called "Google Guru."  The internet has everything!  And, sure enough, there are several tutorials about how to cut one's own hair.
"But wait, Internet!  I want layers in my long hair." "No worries," replies the Internet. "I've got you covered."

Mickie M has a fantastic 9-minute tutorial on how to cut one's hair into lovely luscious layers:

1. Brush all the hair forward and secure into a ponytail in the centre of the head at the hairline.
2. Determine how long you want the layers to be.
3. Raise ponytail above head and mark where you want to cut.
4. Bring the end down in front of your face.
5. Cut, cut, snip, snip.
6. Now tidy it up by cutting the ends vertically with the scissors: snippy, snippy, trimmy, trimmy. 
7. Take out the ponytail and shake out your gorgeous new 'do.
8. Check out the sexy b%$#h in the mirror.  ;)
